Shutter Speed

The slower the shutter speed, the more movement is captured. The left image below is a slow shutter speed (e.g.1/15ths of a second) and the right is a fast shutter speed (e.g. 1/100ths of a second).

  • Freeze Action:

  • High shutter speed (e.g. 1/125)

  • Scientific

  • Blur Action:

  • Low shutter speed (e.g. 1/15)

  • Static subject, blurred background

  • Car lights at night (trail line)
